Pear Mango Salsa – Pear Salsa Recipe
Pears are in season! Pick up fresh pears at your local farmers market today and try this pear salsa recipe!
Makes 6 servings. ¼ cup per serving. Prep time: 30 minutes
2 medium pears, peeled, cored, and cut into small chunks
½ mango, peeled, seeded, and cut into small chunks
1 ⁄3 cup finely chopped yellow bell pepper
1 ⁄3 cup finely chopped red bell pepper
¼ cup finely chopped red onion
1 small jalapeño pepper, seeded and finely chopped
3 tablespoons finely chopped fresh cilantro
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
lime juice to taste
salt to taste
1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl and refrigerate in a covered container for at least 30 minutes or up to 3 hours before serving.
2. Serve with tortilla chips, quesadillas, or grilled or roasted meats or fish.
